Senior Medical Coder — Multi-Specialty

Responsibilities

• Code complex, multi-specialty inpatient and outpatient encounters against current CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS guidelines
• Serve as second-level reviewer on flagged charts from the coding accuracy engine
• Mentor junior coders and contribute to specialty-specific training materials
• Partner with CDI and coding audit teams on documentation gap trends

Qualifications

• Active CPC, CCS, or equivalent AAPC/AHIMA certification
• 5+ years multi-specialty coding experience, hospital or health system setting preferred
• Comfort working across multiple EHR platforms
• Strong written communication for physician query drafting
