Prior Authorization Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Verify current payer-specific authorization requirements ahead of scheduled procedures
• Assemble and submit clinical documentation supporting medical necessity
• Track authorization status continuously and escalate at-risk cases
• Coordinate peer-to-peer review scheduling when required

Qualifications

• 2+ years prior authorization or utilization review experience
• Working knowledge of major commercial and Medicare Advantage payer portals
• Strong organizational skills managing a high-volume, deadline-driven caseload
• Clear, professional communication with clinical staff and payers
